2017 Kaleidoscope Project Application Deadline Extended to MAY 15! Get Yours in Today.

In 2016, the Kaleidoscope Project at Columbia University achieved landmark success in its debut year. Our fully-funded, diversity- and social justice-based, college-level creative writing workshop for New York City’s young adults received 107 applications from 26 schools across four boroughs with a competitive 17% acceptance rate.
As of very recently, we have more good news to report! Due to the unprecedented demand for Ivy League-level arts programming geared towards underserved youth– particularly immigrants, LGBTQI students, and students of color more broadly– Humanities NY has agreed to renew our funding for a second year.
This year, we hope you will help us expand access to the Kaleidoscope Project across all five boroughs and twice as many institutions in this great city. Please, share the attached flyer with your students and friends, and fill out our online application today! The deadline has just been extended to May 15.

Giving marginalized students access to literature from their own heritages– and empowering them to become writers, artists, and producers of knowledge, themselves– has never been more urgent. Please, participate by sharing this flyer or applying today!
